The recipient of the SDPHA Distinguished Member Award will be an SDPHA member that has provided exemplary or outstanding service to advance the purposes and goals of SDPHA or public health in South Dakota in the previous year(s). Nominees for this award will have met the following criteria:
•SDPHA member
•Active leader within the SDPHA or the public health community in South Dakota
•Contribute to the advancement of SDPHA goals and strategic priorities
•Demonstrate commitment to advancement of community health or to the knowledge and practices of the public health field
