Continuing education

Build your public health skills, stay up to date on best practices, and meet certification or licensure requirements. SDPHA aims to connect members to trainings, webinars, and learning opportunities offered by trusted public health partners.

Where can you start?

Mentorship and Programs

  • Learning from peers and mentors can support greater career satisfaction and growth. Programs such as fellowships, graduate degrees and certificates, and other cohort-based learning opportunities can support in-depth continuing education.

Webinars and Trainings

  • Live and recorded webinars are frequently offered for public health professionals from various sources, and continuing education credits from these opportunities can align with various certification guidelines.

Professional Certifications

  • Certifications help demonstrate your knowledge and often require recertification to maintain your skills and keep up with evidence-based practices. Recertification can be done through additional training and continuing education, which you may already be completing.
